When you buy a new iPhone, you may need to move applications from your old iPhone to your new iphone. Moving the applications allows you to continue using all purchased and free applications without having to re-purchase and install them. You can move the applications to your new iPhone via iTunes sync process.
Instructions:
- Double-click the iTunes application on your iPhone.
- Connect your old iPhone to your computer using the iPhone data cable.
- Select your iPhone from the list of devices in the iTunes window.
- Click the "Sync" button.
- Wait while your old iPhone syncs with the iTunes program on your computer. As part of the sync, your iPhone will create a backup you will use to move the applications to your new iPhone.
- Disconnect your old iPhone from the data cable.
- Connect your new iPhone to the data cable.
- Select your iPhone from the Devices list.
- Click the "Restore" button on your computer.
- Select the backup of your iPhone.
- Wait while your new iPhone syncs with the iTunes application on your computer. The applications from your old iPhone will automatically transfer to your new iPhone.
